2024 Aki basho: Day 1 results and analysis
And we are off! Spoilers below.
Day 1 of the aki basho has come and gone and Grand Sumo is back in our lives! What a joyous Sunday this is.
And on this most merry of days we were treated to some really great bouts. There were plenty of matches which had momentum swings and then close finishes. Among those were Wakatakakage vs. Churanoumi, Endo vs. Midorifuji and Onosato vs. Atamifuji.
