2024 Kyushu Basho: Day 5 results and analysis
We got spoilers here.
Day 5 probably brought us the best bouts of the tournament so far. There were some prolonged back and forth battles. We had some quick and highly technical wins, too. And we had some great moments of defensive transitoning to offense.
Among my favorite bouts were Shishi vs. Ryuden, Onosato vs. Atamifuji, Sadanoumi vs. Chiyoshoma and, of course, Hoshoryu…
