Hi everyone I am back

Tobizaru bout was a sight to be hold

The words from the song you spin me right round right round was ringing in my ears!! And it was funny, and obviously it made them both smile, it was more like a frantic game of musical chairs only no chairs involved , it was brilliant

Well now let’s talk Aonishiki who was completely trampled by Onosato

Clearly the Yokozunas have been paying attention to the replays of their opponents bouts.

Let’s face it, Aonishiki was completely trampled, he knew it , but Onosato has done his homework

This we clearly saw with Hoshoryu he made a grab for Tamawashis leg, this took him completely by surprise and these are the moves we saw Aonishiki make and successfully, but where it went wrong was that his up and coming Rikishi adapted very quickly, but Aonishiki did not adapt by anticipating their moves.

We have heard an enormous amount of talk about Wakatakakage and an Ozeki position, but he looked absolutely stunned at his lose to Hakuoho !! What to do??

Now lastly let’s talk my favourite character Atamifuji, Risen up the rank again , to be honest I want he to go to the top one day, but I will say I didn’t expect him to beat Takayasu , I am glad he did but surprised

We know right now this tournament could be a make or break for definitely Hoshoryu, he at last is putting in the work with all the other stables training with them and offering guidance, but he needs the respect and he’s got to pull it out of the bag, or i feel this might be his last as Yokozuna !!

Welcome back! Atamifuji really looked excellent in that Takayasu bout, not everyone can bounce the Papa Bear around like that.

Don Don Sumo's channel showed the Tobizaru bout. It is crazy how many times he spun around to avoid getting shoved out. Despite having mostly yorikiri and oshidashi finishes, this looked like a wild first day. I am worried about the clay getting wet and more people slipping like Hoshoryu nearly did.

Since we're back in Tokyo and the weather is cooling off, the surface was probably a result of a little over watering from the yobidashi (I hope). If that's the case they should adjust and hopefully prevent that becoming a big storyline.

Tobizaru channeled his inner figure skater with all those spins.

He certainly channelled Tonya Harding when he went for Terunofuji's knee a few years ago!

But sadly obliterated by Aonishiki!!

I was unable to catch the first day's action and only caught it today.

What a way to start a tournament! How did Tobizaru not get dizzy, doing all those three-sixties? What's the record for those in a single bout? Usually a guy turns his back once and he's on the way out.

Ura never fails to put on a show!

Wakatakakage is gonna make me chew my nails off. He needs 11 wins for Ozeki, right? Not much room for error.

Maybe 10 wins gets it? That's if the JSA decides they really want two ozeki that much. Maybe 10 wins plus a win over Kotozakura and/or one of the yokos would also help. If he gets 11, though, that should definitely result in a promotion.
