I love seeing Ura do so well. Go Pink Boy!

I could see Wakatakakage remaining at Sekiwake west if he wins tonight. It could be any of Wakatakakage, Kirinoumi, or Oho. I would put them in that order if they all win.

Who is Kirinoumi? Is that someone's former name? (Like how Kotozakura was formerly Kotonowaka?)

Might be an autocorrect/typo on Hiradoumi.

Kirishima. Had he won and ended 7-8, I could see potential to remain at Sw. But that won't happen now.

I could have seen either Wakatakakage or Kirishima (had they been 7-8) displacing Oho. The original comment was meant to be a reply to the Kirishima/Wakatakakage comment from you and Tim.

Yokozuna vs Yokozuna on the final day for the cup?! We've been blessed. No matter what happens tonight I'm happy

With both Kirishima and Wakatakakage having disappointing ends to this basho, they leave sekiwake. I guess Aonishiki steps into that role, not sure if anyone else will. But it looks like Aonishiki is well on his way to an ozeki promotion, having already earned double digit wins in each makuuchi tournament even as his rank improved!

Yeah, Aonishiki will move up to sekiwake. Wakatakakage and Kirishima go down to komusubi. There has to be a second sekiwake, so it looks like Oho might shoot up to that spot.

Was doing a bit more banzuke studying and it seems like Wakatakakage and Kirishima re likely go down to M1 after this.
