Good morning my great Sumo readers….. let’s talk day 4 !

So kirishima is on 4-0 he’s really got good grounding this Basho, if he comes up against Hoshoryu it’s going to be a cracker!!

Some disappointing results to see, let’s face it Wakatakakage and Takayasu neither are really pulling it out the bag to any great worth, yet I feel it’s possible they can both get to the top ?

Oho battered Aonishiki and again he looked stunned, for some reason Aonishiki just isn’t performing to the July standard and you can see that the crowd are frustrated because they have expected more from him, oho though older, has stacks of experience, he utilised what he expected to use to neutralise Aonishiki, but the clever unpredictable moves never appeared, I felt like , had someone told him to stick to traditional everyday Sumo moves ! But I am still not totally discounting him just yet.

Kotoshōhō and Kusano are not going well either, having said that I won’t discard Kotoshoho just yet.

Amongst everyone else, I am paying attention to Tomokaze , I know there are 10 other 3-1 but something is drawing me to look closer at him! But we will see

So you all know by now where this is ending!!!!

My beloved ATAMIFUJI July he was outstanding but so far now he’s really not performing, what’s happening?

Please pray 🙏 for him or for me, as obviously I am completely committed and believe one day he can get to the top 🔝

Onosato went down to Hakuoho, it was a good bout , Onosato got his arms mixed up, and naturally his combatant got his arms the right way round and before he knew it, out he went

Hoshoryu at last got a chance today to get ahead, he did, Abi went down, that’s not normally what happens between these two combatants, but you could see the relief on Hoshoryus face, he knows the gravity of his situation and his position

Atamifuji has a very tough assignment this tournament. He's having to face a lot of very good opponents. I still think he'll come through this basho with a kachi-koshi, though.

Sorry this is so late, but that’s a tough question these days, there are so many good rickshi on the dojo right now!
