Do unto him as he would do unto you! I loved it—I didn’t expect that from Kiri.

UNRELATED CRAZY STATISTIC: Asashōryū had FIVE perfect tournaments (zensho yusho) from 2004-2006. Unreal.

Amazing stat. Asashoryu highlights are so fun to watch nowadays. Aonishiki has some Asashoryu in his game.

Unfortunately Kayo looks to be living up to your prediction so far.

Shodai might actually be able to bat more than .500 down there in the bottom ranks.

I was really rooting for Wakamotoharu vs. Horshoryu. Gold star, baby!

Glad to see Papa Bear Takayasu get a win. He can't afford to go down 0-2.

And of course, with Wakatakakage 2-0, is it too early to predict he'll run the table from here? :-D

I think Shodai should be able to get a good record down here, too. Him, Atamifuji and Roga seem like three guys who are too good for their current rankings (along with Kusano, of course).

Time allowing — always the thing — you should spotlight the juryo match of the day if you can (Asanoyama making a cameo there yesterday and losing was fascinating)

That would be good, unfortunately my viewing schedule would make that difficult.

I watch makuuchi first thing in the morning, sometimes with my wife. Then I write Sumo Stomp! then I usually watch juryo with her in the evening. Mid-way through the tournament I might peak at the results and include info on who is leading the way, but I like to wait on juryo so I can watch it fresh with Mrs. Sumo Stomp! Especially since her work makes the morning makuuchi watch hard a lot of the times.
