He's got quite the brow going on there. Some guys seem to form big tires around their foreheads. I don't know if it's just where more weight is being put on or if it's due to how often they are banging heads with each other.
I almost never see his head without a cut or healing cut above that eye. I've been watching and it's like every tachi-ai he leads with the head on that side. He's gonna need surgery to remove scar tissue 😆
I was worried this would happen. He struggled against higher ranked opposition in the last tournament and now, after being promoted a few ranks, he's really struggling. I think we may have seen Midorifuji's peak and ceiling in the last two years.

Poor Midorifuji going 0-8. Is he just getting unlucky? There are a number of surprisingly bad records so far in this basho.
