Congrats 🙌 on closing in on your SW degree! And immigration makes a country stronger, so thanks for helping newbies get used to all things Canadian.

Thanks Elizabeth. I'm a migrant myself, I moved here from England in 2004. I had far less barriers to integration than many of the clients I see, though. Newcomers are a service population I'm very passionate about, but there's so many other things I can't wait to dip my toes in when it comes to this kind of work.

That was a monster match between Wakatakakage and Takayasu. Those are two of my favorites and it was hard to watch either one get beat, but Taka's been doing well of late and Waka needed the win more.

Glad to hear about Enho and Kayo. I was a big fan of both when they were in the makuuchi. Let's hope Takerufuji manages to climb back up, too!

Takayasu has looked really invigorated over the last 12 months. It's been awesome to have him being both active and competitive over that time. He also produces some of the most exciting bouts in any given basho when he's healthy.

Congratulations on being so close to the end of your program! What a lovely profession you've chosen. 💕

Thanks Molly! How are you enjoying the tournament so far? Do you have a pick for who gets the yusho?

Your analysis & highlights are my favorite - and I'm just here for sweet Ura & all the cute moments when one wrestler offers another a hand up, a nod, or any other little gesture of respect & kindness. 🤗

I think Ura and Ichiyamamoto are probably tied atop the cute moment leader board.

🥰 I'll pay closer attention to Ichiyamamoto!!

Atamifuji should be up there, too!

☺️ adding him to my list!

Hi All and in case anyone missed it

I wish everyone a very happy new year!!

So I so far agree with everything our beloved leader of the Tim has said !

Hoshoryu, his two bouts have looked like a fight to the death, in that I mean it looked like really hard work.

Onosato looks weak, today he looked relieved to have come through unscathed

It’s a crashing disappointment!! Despite their wins, I agree that at this point I can’t see either Yokozuna finishing the week

They both are Rattled by Aonishiki and now realise they have two Ozeki trying to put them down.

Aonishiki is absolutely oozing confidence it is literally dripping off him, he also displays and commands respect in every corner and he’s getting it, for one so young he is displaying a “ you will bend to me” and they are!

He steps in and his face says “ I win “ out you go and they dooo !

Daiesho is extremely strong and aggressive and well we are now seeing Kotokazura in a whole new level, he’s looking sharp, developed and very aggressive, he is just putting them down, he’s aiming for Yokozuna we know it, they know it and the two Yokozuna know it, we also have Wakatakakage making his play for Ozeki now as well.

Tamawashi looks strong, but I worry how long he can keep going before he god forbid gets really hurt

Midorifuji has some difficult decisions to come, I know it’s only day 2, but it’s not promising is it?

Hakunofuji is one to watch, I had hoped a bit more of Yoshinofuji but we will see

And lastly Atamifuji he does look strong but I do think he reacts to what’s going on around the ring with the other Rikishi he lets it get into his head , we saw this last year when Terunofuji suddenly announced retirement, Atami for about 6 months couldn’t pull himself together!

Any offers on someone willing to give the two present Yokozuna a good kick up the butt ?

I can’t stand the thought of Mr Insufferable told you soooo

Hey! Good to see you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the these first few days.

Is Mr Insufferable betting Aonishiki gets his second yusho in a row?

Yoshinofuji pulled a hum dinger today, I feel he was underestimated by Hoshoryu

Boring though it may be, we seem to be back to the old fashioned bag of

“ No Tricks “ which let’s be honest Yoshinofuji put to use following in the shadows of Aonishiki

Now I feel mean saying this, but I was delighted that Takayasa belted Daieisho , I felt Daieisho has been really nasty, I realise they are wrestlers and are supposed to win if they can. But I felt it was nasty yesterday and today he got what he deserved !

Yes he says the confidence this Rikishi has cannot be ignored, today’s bout he didn’t even break into a sweat, and his behaviour by not allowing Ichiyamamoto to fall is a sign that he’s preparing !

He is very young , but he’s a lot older than his years in maturity, in fact I feel he’s more mature than Hoshoryu and I am a massive Hoshoryu fan , but he’s just not living up to his position he lost today to Yoshinofuji 😫

Mr Insufferable says the JSA WANT a quality Yokozuna going forward to Paris, this tour seems very important for Sumo !

Although at this point we have 12/13 at the top 3-0
