Kirishima with the cute little tap on his opponent's chest after the finish ☺️

Everything is cute when it comes to Kirishima, in my eyes.

Well here we are, and what a day! Hoshoryu and Onosato had an absolute fight on their hands!! I would have to say that out of all the bouts of the day the last two were it. Hoshoryu came out with what looks like a nasty gash to head ? It would please me to see him get his first win as a Yokozuna, but I think it’s unlikely

Onosato is a brilliant example of Dohyo wrestling , but right now he’s got a shoulder injury and you can see he’s trying to let the opposite side take the brunt of the game , now Daieisho had picked up on that and tried to utilise the issue to his advantage, but Onosato was fast and that was what created space for him to win.

Boring though I might be on the subject of technical moves, we did see at last someone [ wakamotohuro ] use a different strategy, yet to be perfected but it was a good attempt, trying hard to keep the Bulldozer [ Aonishiki]upright the win in the end was both men flat out crush out , I am in full agreement here with Tim, I don’t like it to me it just looks like they both fell over[ dead body rule]

All the fujis seem to be going the wrong way, can we show them a map or something? Your direction should be up not down

Midorifuji is looking like a disaster!

Ura so sweet, the darling of the crowd, beloved by all watchers got a win, it doesn’t seem to matter to the fans he’s not winning, they just love him.

Lastly let’s not forget my beloved Atamifuji he’s not doing badly 5-2 let’s hope he can get to at least 8 I am plumbing for ten

So who’s gonna take the Title?

Mr insufferable says

Aonishiki

Onosato

Hoshoryu

Abi

Kirishima will be the last 5 standing with the win going to Aonishiki!!

We shall see

Atamifuji is looking great. I was worried, since it looked to me that he had added some extra weight for this tournament. He's, statistically, the heaviest rikishi in the division by some way now. But he seems to be holding it well and seems still capable of moving quite quickly.

Well here we are, day 11 and Atamifuji has blown another sailor out the port hole

Having said that he now face’s Aonishiki and even though my heart is for Atamifuji, I have to say that I fear this will be one fight he won’t win😟 if he proves me wrong then I will apologise, because despite Atamifuji beating two Yokozuna, they are injured !!

Both Yokozuna wins surprised me, Takayasu and Kirishima are both very formidable opponents and honestly I thought definitely Kirishima would win.

Hoshoryu breathed an enormous sigh of relief, I believe he realises he could be facing the axe sooner rather than later, it’s nearly a year since he was installed and no sign of a Yusho in sight ? No time to be complacent now! He’s got to win every bout now and Aonishiki Abi and Atamifuji All the As need to loose a bit to even up and allow the two Ys to catch up !! But of course that’s not real life

I can’t see Hoshoryu winning 4 straight now

So hang on to your hats boys / Gals we’re in for a bumpy ride

Hoshoryu probably hates this comparison, but we do see similarities with his uncle Asashoryu sneak through every now and then. Hoshoryu has that same intimidation factor as Asahoryu does. Onosato is intimidating, too, but it feels a little different. He doesn't have that menacing aspect to him, which is what makes Hoshoryu feel more compelling at times.
