Cheeky Sumo giveaway winner announcement! Plus, news on next giveaway

We have a winner.

For transparency sake, here’s how I determined the winner of this giveaway. This will also give you a window into some of the stats behind Sumo Stomp! right now.

The giveaway was open to all paid subscribers who had an active subscription.

Sumo Stomp! has 129 ‘paid’ subscribers. Some of those subscribers are ‘comps’ that I’ve given away to family and friends. When I remove the comps I was left with 107 subscribers who were eligible for the prize draw (sorry Mrs. Sumo Stomp!). I’m really proud of that number and I’m blown away that over 100 people like this newsletter enough to support it with their hard earned money.

Now, no shade free subscribers, but there’s a lot of you out there. If I could convince a few more of you to up your subscription I might be able to fund some cool additions around here.

Anyways, back to the 107 paid subs I do have. That number breaks down as 93 yearly subscribers (one of which is a gift), 9 monthly subscribers (2 gifts) and five founding subscribers.

Some of those subscribers are ‘comps’ that I gave out to people who have supported my work through PayPal.

I exported this list of subscribers into a spreadsheet. I then repeated the rows to make sure each yearly subscriber was represented in six individual rows and each founding member was represented in 12 rows. That resulted in a spreadsheet with 627 total rows.

I then asked the internet for a random number. That produced the number 66.

I scrolled down my spreadsheet to row 66… And that gave me Stef F. as our winner!

Thank you everyone who subscribes to Sumo Stomp! There’s only so much I can give you for that subscription fee so I'm really delighted to be able to offer these giveaways on a semi-regular basis.
