You're predicting that none of the new juryo promotions end up getting kachi-koshi? These seem like fairly harsh predictions for guys like Asahakuryu and Hatsuyama.
I think there's are a lot of tough bouts for them down there with the likes of Abi, Tobizaru, Midorifuji and Chiyoshoma. Hatsuyama also has Asanoyama and Asakoryu. Asahakuryu is in their stable so he'll get two higher ranked guys instead. For the record, though, I am quite keen on Hatsuyama.
I think I can see your prediction happening. I too think either Onosato or Hoshoryu pulling out, but only one of them. I’d like to see Aonishiki win. I don’t think he gets to yokozuna just yet. I think it will take another tournament. Good stuff Tim.
